This blog began life about a life (mine) working in further education colleges. It's developed into the daily shenanigans and goings on in schools, colleges and universities across the land. Not only do we take a pop at anyone and anything, we particularly take a dislike to the pompous, law-giving Government ministers if we think they are having a laugh at the public's expense, which they most often are.
Our intrepid reporters daily scour all the issues that affect people. It's a moaning shop, a meeting place and whatever else it develops into. I started this blog in August 2005 had have had some pretty good feedback from people over the past year. Well wadya know eh! What were we talking about earlier this year? After months and months of incompetence, Phoney Tony finally gets his opportunity to rid the education world of the most ineffective, incompetent Secretaries of State for Education there's ever been.

It's been a while since my last confession. Over the past week saw a strike at the LSC by staff. According to reports there are 4000 staff working for the LSC, thats like 10 colleges - I just wonder what they all do.
This week there were 17 new jobs posted in the TES these were either
£77,500 or
£82,500
I mean why bother with the £500 - its a bit like a builders quote rounding the job up to the nearest £500 quid.
The LSC in my book at a set of robbing leeches ripping off the education sector and providing feck all basically. These 17 jobs cost well over a million PA. Plus they get an Audi A4 and a fecking annual bonus that would run our department for 12 months. Absolutley fecking scandalous.
