Following the familiar triple-repetitive noun, Education, Education, Education, made famous by Blair before he became PM, Gordon Brown today has followed suit.
The Brown Mantra will be Excellence, Excellence, Excellence.
IT doesn't have the same direct ring to it but I guess as it's only education he's talking about, it'll have to do.
The use of repetition is a familiar play on words used by many a politician. It's been handed down from political scriptwriters over the decades. You only have to look at Churchill for examples who was full of them....i.e. "We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them..."
You can get combinations of double repetitive nouns used in phrases like...
"tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime."
And you begin to see a picture. Yes they are all at it. Most people who seek power use the technique. Tried it at a job interview once and it works.
It's actually a mind-control ploy used by magicians, (watch Derren Brown) politicians, (Blairs full of them) top salespeople etc to associate certain words with people who said them and a desired state of mind.
It's a case of cutting through the crap these people say to look at what they are really getting at.
